Job Description: Overview Under the direction of the Manager and in association with the radiologists, the Lead Technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The Lead Technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team. Under the direction of the Manager, the Lead Technologist is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Cat Scan and X-Ray Department.
Qualifications - Post High School Special Training
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer qualifications license required (Computer Tomography qualifications preferred)
- ARRT(R) required
- ARRT(CT) required within 1 year of hire
- BLS
- Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Management, problem solving and organizational skills
